Creating Effective Collaborative Learning Groups
Bridging The Gap: Increase Student Achievement
In this course, you will learn how to create an effective lesson plan that will road map your instruction for a two weeks period. You will understand the purpose, the objective, the understanding of student learning expectations, the incorporation of media, and the importance of backwards planning with the end goal in mind.

In this course, you will learn how to create a collaborative learning environment where students have an opportunity to have academic dialogue that is relevant to the content being taught. Strategies discussed
in this course will allow you to ensure that students are on task, so that you can continue as the facilitator of student learning.
How to address Challenging Student Behavior
In this course, you will learn how to use data to guide explicit instructions. You will have a better understanding of “why” it is important to use data points to target student learning. Discussion will
allow you to understand how to identity students with deficits for re-teachable opportunities, prepare purposeful in-class small group, and you will learn how to be intentional with crafting meaningful
intervention strategies.
Working Smarter Not Harder
In this course, you will learn how to be intentional with data reports. You will be guided through what data is suggesting where students’ strengths and weakness are. From the discussion, you will have a better understanding of how to intervene at for Tier 1 and Tier 2 instruction by creating lessons that will drive your instruction.
Innovative Teaching Practices
In this course, you will learn how to address students who are defiant and/or those with challenging behaviors. From the discussion, deliberate strategies will suggest how using non-verbal reinforcements, close proximity and incentivized systems can be used to garner desired behaviors. Recommendations
will also include when to use strong voice to command a controlled learning environment.

In this course, you will learn how to incorporate multiple student learning expectations opposed toteaching in isolation. Recommendations will be geared toward creating opportunities for informal
assessments, collaborative learning environment, performance-based learning, and grading practices.

In this course, an in depth look at creative activities that students can be introduced to in the learning process. Suggestions will be discussed with implementing video, artistry, music, poetry, Ted Talks, podcast and instructional online learning to captivate all students. Discussions will include when to use pen to paper and online learning.
Stagnant Student Performance
In this course, discussion will hone into how walk throughs are observed. A closer look will provide insight on what appraisers and specialists look for while visiting your classroom, observance regards to
professionalism, parent engagement and written communication not limited to lesson planning.
I Am A New Teacher: Now What
In this course, reflective discussion will be inclusive to the stress of managing the classroom and the paperwork that comes with the duties and responsibilities. Recommendations will give guidance on how to prioritize the work of teachers. An in depth look at how to create a space for success and how to manage the volume of work associated with being a teacher.
In this course, a closer look at data will be discussed. From the discussion, you will be more skilled in discerning why some students are performing and others are not. A closer look will be explicit in thedelivery of instruction and time spent on the lesson taught. Recommendations will be geared for
students that are in special populations when lesson plans are being drafted.
In this course, you will have a better understanding of the do’s and don’t to teaching. You will have the opportunity to learn the daily operations and the expectations of being a teacher. Discussion will allow for an understanding of parent engagement, knowing your students, the importance of lesson planning, data reports and creating a safe learning environment.

component. Here teachers are able to have self- reflections regarding their glows
and grows. The “let’s talk” is a discussion piece that focuses on the how- tos, dos
and don’ts in the classroom ranging from, but not limited to: delivery of
instruction, parent partnering, professionalism, lesson planning and classroom
management.
After completing each course, a certificate is available for download and all
courses offered will be awarded 1.0 credit hour that can be used to satisfy state
requirements for professional development.
